Mirror – Mirror the selected objects by choosing 1/2/3 points to describe a point/line/plane: then select to retain/eliminate the original objects. The source geometry is associated with a projection grid and the geometry is then mapped onto a quad target surface.

All these plugins are available in SketchUcation Plugin store and extension warehouse.Įxtrude Tools – A series of toolset which can be used for extruding edges into meshes etc.įlowify – A powerful extension that twists groups or components along a quad surface.
MIRROR PLUGIN SKETCHUP 2016 HOW TO
N this sketchup video tutorial, you will learn how to generate complicated shapes with the use of different types of sketchup plugins like Extrude Tools, Flowify, Mirror, Split Tools, Vertex Toos, JHS POWERBAR. Watch the following video tutorial to get more detail information. Displacement in aerial perspective is also now supported on the GPU. The VR scan material is now supported and it allows to apply the curves groups scanned material technology in your project.īesides, there are various types of GPU rendering enhancements like the hybrid rendering system. Lots of new materials and textures are included in this new version. V-ray 3.6 contains a new lighting algorithm known as adaptive lights to accelerate the rendering process considerably particularly in scenes where there are lots of light sources. Given below, some of the new features in v-ray 3.6 for sketchup.Ĭ. Rendering speed is very fast and one can design rapidly with the interactive rendering mode. V-ray 3.6 for sketchup facilitates the users to render anything from rapid design model to most complicated 3d scenes. Vessel highlights some of the new and exciting features in v-ray 3.6 for sketchup. The tutorial is conducted by Vessel Mikhaylov, a master degree holder from Technical University of Denmark. The tutorial is derived from a study of architecture interior and exterior project. This sketchup video tutorial sheds light on the new design scopes by combining v-ray 3.6 and VR scans in sketchup. “Down, Right” sorts the objects first by descending y-coordinate (green axis), then by ascending x-coordinate (red axis). The first direction belongs to the most important one, accompanied by the minor one. The extension will then be arranged 3D text on top of each component or group that was chosen OR rename the instance.ĭirection: The order of the objects numbered in is arranged with the Direction setting.
Select text height, unit, direction, Numbering system, Text Prefix(“Text n” only), Number to 3D text or rename component ,First number. Right-click on your selection, then opt for “Number Components” out of the context menu that pops up. Instruction for application: Choose some groups, components or a mixture of the two types. The objects chosen should not be in a grid pattern. The 3D text is arranged over the centre of each object if observed from above in top view. The sketchup users can apply this extension to assign numbers to components and groups with 3D text otherwise redefine component instances. Thanks to him for this great plugin.McGordon has developed number components, the newest sketchup extension that is well suited with SketchUp 2016, SketchUp 2017, SketchUp 2018.

You can download the plugin directly here, or go to the original thread by the author TIG. Then you will need to pick the 3 points that define the mirror plane, and at the end you will have te option to choose to either keep or erase the source object. To use the plugin (after saving it to your plugins folder) select the object you want to mirror and go to Plugins -> Mirror Selection. This plugin is very easy to use and allows us to select the mirror plane and also to choose if we want to keep the original object or delete it after the mirror operation.
We can select the object we want to mirror, right click on it and select "Flip Along:" This will give us the chance to select which plane (red, green or blue) of the object to use as a mirror plane. Two of them can be done with the standard SketchUp installation, the third one (and probably the best) requires a Plugin. There are to me 3 methods to mirror objects. Mirror is not a standard tool in SketchUp, but that is probably because there are several ways to Mirror objects using other methods.
